Dating persian american men

I would be interested in your thoughts as I am getting quite disheartened at the attitudes. I think, very unfortunately, that there are some cultural stereotypes (in both directions! So good, let’s get these all out in the open so that we can talk about them.I, too, have heard many times from Iranian men (or men from any of the middle-eastern cultures for that matter) that they are happy to date American or non-Iranian women, but that they would never marry one. I am asking in general, from guys with experience..do the differ from white girls? I don't think they expect more or less than white girls. In my experience if she is young and the parents are conservative... This one doesnt seem to hold either trait, although I dont take her to crap places either as I prefer the nicer joints. This sense of being distinguished ocassionally translates to the personal level which goes back to your stuck up/high standards. But more seriously: IME (which goes beyond this particular man), Persians are very proud people who (understandably) view their very rich intellectual and cultural heritage as something that makes their history quite distinguished. whatever you do, do not make the mistake of lumping arabs and persians into some homogenised middle eastern glob of sameness. or hookaah (arab) as it's more commonly known Please note: The suggestions and advice offered on this web site are opinions only and are not to be used in the place of professional psychological counseling or medical advice. White woman here who's dated a Persian man = the most wonderful dating experience I've had But more seriously: IME (which goes beyond this particular man), Persians are very proud people who (understandably) view their very rich intellectual and cultural heritage as something that makes their history quite distinguished.

Physiologically, in adolescence we are walking sex hormones, bubbling over and barely in control.

From what I read already, they are very stuck up and have high standards. The Iranian American girl I dated had super controlling parents.

Persian-American, not religious, 26 yrs old, father not in the picture, mother is-havent met her yet.

However, I would also imagine that these statistics would be questionable unless obtained through physical exam since solely self-report would likely yield inaccurate data from the middle-eastern side.

Because of the pressure to be a virgin, many middle-eastern girls lie, and some even get themselves sewn up (as barbaric and unnecessary as that sounds).I believe that some of this is related to the perception that they will more likely find a virgin in the more conservative and traditional of the two cultures (the middle-eastern one), but that it also relates to cultural similarities.
